How we source specs

Every number on this site is copied from the manufacturer's owner's manual for that model year. This is the process, step by step.

  1. 01

    Start with the manufacturer

We download the owner's manual from the manufacturer's own website for that exact model year. No forums, parts-store guesses or copied lists.

  2. 02

    Find the spec pages

We locate the capacities, tire information, maintenance and other specification pages inside that manual.

  3. 03

Record the value and its page

Each value is recorded with its original units, what it applies to and the page number. AI does the reading and is told to leave a spec out rather than guess.

  4. 04

    Run automatic checks

Software confirms the quoted sentence is really on that page, the value appears in it, and the number is in a sensible range. Anything odd is flagged.

  5. 05

    Each batch is spot-checked

Before a batch is published, a random sample of values is compared with the manual page each one cites. In our first 20-manual test, all 40 sampled values matched. In a re-check on Oct 15, 2026, 97 of 100 random published values were fully correct; the other 3 had an incomplete label and were taken down.

  6. 06

    Publish with the paper trail

Every page shows the manual, the page and the date the value was added, and links to the manufacturer's copy. A later model year reuses a value only when its own manual contains the identical sentence.

Check your own vehicle

Manuals cover several engines and trims, and a previous owner may have changed tires or parts. Always confirm with your own owner’s manual, the dipstick, or the tire and loading label on the driver’s door jamb before you buy parts or add fluids. Car Spec Sheet is a reference, not a substitute for your manual or a mechanic.
