Lug nut torque by vehicle: specs from the owner’s manual

By Car Spec Sheet · Updated Oct 16, 2026 · Every example is checked against the owner's manual page it links to. How we work

Lug nut torque is how tightly the wheel nuts should be tightened, and it’s in your owner’s manual, usually in the tire-changing or specifications section. Below are the figures from the 567 vehicle manuals on this site that list one, by make. Each entry links to the vehicle’s page, which shows the manual page.

Use a torque wrench for the final tightening, in a star pattern, and recheck after a short drive if your manual says to. Some manuals give a range (for example 80–94 lb-ft); tighten to within it. More in Lug nut torque explained.
