Which engine and body style do I have?

By Car Spec Sheet · Updated Oct 16, 2026 · Every example is checked against the owner's manual page it links to. How we work

Many specs change with the engine or the body style, so pick the right version before you buy oil or parts. A 2017 Honda Civic Sedan with the 2.0 L engine takes 4.4 US qt of oil with a filter change; the 1.5 L turbo takes 3.7 US qt.

Body style: sedan, coupe or hatchback

Manufacturers often publish a separate owner’s manual for each body style. On this site, the Civic Sedan, Civic Coupe and Civic Hatchback each have their own pages, and their specs aren’t interchangeable. Check:

Equipment can matter too

Tire size, headlight type and key type change some answers. The 2017 Civic Sedan’s recommended front tire pressure is 33 psi on 1.5 L SPORT models with 235/40R18 tires and 32 psi on the others. The 2020 Accord Hybrid’s high beam is an HB3 bulb on cars without a head-up display and LED on cars with one.
